The school is currently participating in three European Projects - Rural School Cloud , SHAPE and Robotics. Rural School Cloud is a European educational project aimed at improving educational ICT solutions for rural and dispersed schools in Europe.
This project seeks to explore the possibilities of open, cloud-based, and Web 2.0 approaches and materials in order to improve learning and networking among students and teachers from schools in rural and isolated areas of Europe. This project provides partnerships in Denmark, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Macedonia.
The project is funded entirely by The UK National Agency for Erasmus+ which is a partnership between the British Council and Ecorys UK. The project will bring over £10,000 to St. Andrew’s some of which has already been awarded to the school to enable the purchase of our tablet computers.
SHAPE is a Sports project which again is an Erasmus+ project which encourages active life styles and engagement in sports in schools and local clubs across Europe. Project partners include Sweden, Spain and Lithuania .
We have also just entered our third new European project - Robotics.
Project partners from England, Malta, Spain and Lithuania will we working together to develop the use of robotics and computing in education.
