Our Royal Wedding Celebrations
During the week each class celebrated the Royal Wedding by including the theme of weddings in their lessons. The whole school came together on Thursday 28th April to enjoy an afternoon of celebrations.
Staff displayed their wedding dresses and photographs for all to admire.
In the afternoon the children took part in ‘potted’ sports with year 6 leading the games and scoring. All the games had a hint of wedding fever. The children were in their family groups which meant that the older children helped and encouraged the younger children.
After the games we sang the National Anthem before enjoying a tea in the glorious sunshine.
Parents came to watch the sports and help with serving of the tea and drinks.
