Key Stage 2 Christmas Play 2011
Key Stage 2 children from St Andrew’s C of E Primary School Buckland Monachorum recently presented the Christmas production Sheik, Rattle and Roll. This was a popular adaptation of the traditional nativity story with a wide variety of different styled songs including two-part singing, a lullaby, a ballad, hand-jives, and (as you’d expect from the title) some rock and roll!

For the weeks and weeks of planning the children and teachers were getting ready for their first performance of the story Sheik Rattle and Roll! The costumes were great as always and we thank the parents for that! All of us were nervous but we hoped we would put our heart and sole into it. When the dreamy music started the show came alive with excitement and joy to the crowd. We all had fun doing the acting and singing, and hoped that the crowd enjoyed it as much as we did.
At the end of the performance we sung the medley twice and that was the greatest bit of the show! We enjoyed doing our Christmas play but we knew it was going to end so all we can do is wait for the next KS2 Christmas play!
