Buckland Abbey National Trust 60th Anniversary Celebrations
9th – 15th July 2011
Pupils from St Andrew’s School made flowers and plants from scrap materials for a display in the Great Barn on the theme ‘A plant in time’ to show the importance of education in the work of the National Trust at the Abbey.
Some children also made pledges which were displayed on tree branches.
This was a wonderful opportunity to be involved in events in the local community and gave pupils a change to reflect on their hopes for the future and the contributions they can make for these to be realised.
