	PTA Lantern Parade The PTA organised a Lantern Parade through the village. See more here.
	Apple Day A very successful Apple Day was held on 16th October 2009. There were 69 entries for the Apple Pie Competition and the perpetual Challenge Cup was awarded for the first time. See more here.
	Dedication service for Sarah Pendle Following Mrs Sarah Pendle's appointment as head teacher at St Andrew's C of E Primary School, Buckland Monachorum, a dedication service was held at St Andrew's Church on 1st October 2009. See more here.
	Sailing Week 22nd - 26th June 2009 Children from years 5 and 6 enjoyed a week of sailing from Plymouth. They learnt about the weather, saftey on the water, knots and how to sail different types of sail boats. See more here.
	Sports Day 18th June 2009 This year sports day was held in glorious sunshine. The morning saw the children enjoying 'potted' sports in their family groups. See more here.
