Eden Project

We left school early on Monday morning to travel on the coach to Eden Project. It was just our class and 6 helpers. We had so much fun – singing and telling jokes all the way down and back again.

Which biome do we go to first?

When we got there, we met Nikki and Alice our guides for the day. Nikki took us to the school room and explained all about the Crazy Chef Challenge that we would be taking part in. She explained that we would need to answer some crazy clues to find ingredients (plants) around the project so that the chef could make us a cake.

We looked at all the ingredients we had to find and then tried to answer some of the riddles we were given. We looked at the map using grid references to tell us which biome to go into and set off.

Once we had found everything, we took it back to our classroom and Nikki called the chef to see if he had time to make us a cake. He was really funny and said that as we had worked so hard he would.

It wasn’t long and we had a really, really yummy banana cake with a scrummy chocolate topping to eat. We really enjoyed that.

We then had about half an hour to explore where we wanted. We loved our day out, and even walking in the rain didn’t spoil it. A great day out – enjoyed by all!!!
