Our visit to Plypmton Fire Station
In March we studied the Fire of London. We learnt about how the fire started, Samuel Pepys and his diaries, and even had a go at writing our own diary entries. We also looked at what the London Gazette had to say the day after the fire started. Then, we had a go at writing our own report. To help us understand how fire spreads so quickly, we visited Plympton Fire Station, which was great fun. The firemen set up an activity for us where we had to put out the fire (pretend!) at Pudding Lane. Non-one got wet though!
