Learning together what is good and right. JOB 34: 4
The children are grouped into four family teams, or ‘houses’. The teams compete with each other at sports and for team points. As usual we try to have children of a family in the same team.
Amecia - Green - 80
Drake - Red - 139
Grenville - Blue - 100
Modyford - Yellow - 76
Team points are awarded for real effort in all school work and pupils conduct irrespective of a child's capabilities. It is anticipated that these incentives and rewards will help develop a sense of unity across the school in line with our behaviour policy.
Every member of the school community is responsible for modelling and promoting these high expectations of behaviour, both in and out of the classroom. All staff may nominate pupils to teachers for them to award Team Points.
The Team Points can be awarded for helpfulness, courtesy, good behaviour, etc., and not only for class work. Points will be recorded in each classroom. At the end of each week these are collected in to determine the winning team across the school for the week. Year 6 House Captains for each team will have this responsibility.
