The School Grounds

Text Box:

The school has operated a school grounds project for some years and over that time the staff and the pupils have worked on various parts of the school grounds and turned these areas into part on the school conservation area.

This is then maintained and managed so as to support the classroom activities and needs of the curriculum, but also gives links to cross curricular activities.

Part of these activities include planning and managing future products for which the orchard project is the latest venture to be undertaken.

This involves grounds outside of the school which have been donated for this purpose by a local landowner.

In addition to the children following the English National Curriculum the school also has a traditionally looked to enrich and broaden the curriculum in other ways. This has been through school visits, activities weeks, and arts projects
