Year 1 went to the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth as part of their Seaside topic. They spent a whole day looking around the different parts of the aquarium and they saw lots of different sea creatures. The children’s favourite sea creature was the giant squid, whose brain was shaped like a donut! It was a really interesting day and the children learnt many facts about their wet slippery friends! Did you know a Plaice can camouflage itself to anything it is near – even a chess board!
